Matheus Corredato Rossi

Matheus Rossi earned his Bachelor’s Degree in law at Faculdade de Direito de Presidente Prudente (1998),Postgraduate Degrees in Civil Procedural Law (2001), and Business Law (2002). He also completed an Extension course in Corporate Law and Capital Markets at FGV/RJ (2003), and obtained his Master’s in Law Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo – PUC-SP (2009).

He began his career as a lawyer in the legal department at Banco do Brasil S/A, he was admitted following a public civil service exam in 1999. He held various positions during his legal career in the BB conglomerate, including Joint Legal Advisor for the Caixa de Previdência dos Funcionários do Banco do Brasil (Banco do Brasil Employee Pension Fund, PREVI) (2003-2007), he provided legal advice on matters relating to the company’s investments and shares, notably in capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganization, joint ventures, debt restructuring, real estate transactions and arbitral proceedings.

He joined the Firm in January 2008 and has been working in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, capital markets (public and private offerings), investment fund structuring, real estate transactions and project finance. He has also worked as legal advisor for various institutional investors (Pension Funds and RPPS – Civil Servants’ Social Security System) on matters relating to investments, with a focus on the selfregulation of such entities.

He has published several technical articles in specialized magazines and widely circulated journals.
