André Uryn holds a Master’s degree in Regulatory Law from Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and works on matters related to administrative sanctions law and public works. He has extensive experience in consensual solutions and in representing clients before administrative and oversight bodies, with a particular focus on matters before Accounting Courts and involving government contracts.
In addition to being a partner at Bocater Advogados, he has served as a State Attorney with the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro (PGE/RJ) for 20 years. Previously, he served as a Federal Attorney and as Chief Legal Advisor to the Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Public Works. Throughout his career, he has gained significant experience in integrity and anti-corruption matters involving the liability of legal entities, especially in the negotiation and execution of leniency agreements.
André is also a guest professor at the School of Public Advocacy of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro (ESAP/PGE) and at Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), where he teaches courses on compliance and anti-corruption in the graduate program. He is the author of the book O Limite de Valor da Alteração Qualitativa do Contrato de Obra Pública: Regulação e instrumentalização às exigências da economia, published by Editora Lumen Juris in 2016.
