Bachelor of Law, Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro – UERJ (1993). MBA in Business and Economics Law, Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) (2000).

Carlos August Branco joined the Firm in 2001. He has professional experience in the fields of corporate and tax law, as well as contracts, with expertise in corporate mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs and reorganization, joint ventures, negotiation of shareholder agreements, estate and tax planning.

In 2000 and 2001, he was a member of another team of lawyers, practicing tax and corporate law, he participated in acquisition and corporate reorganization proceedings, preparation of opinions, and tax planning.

He worked with Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (1998 to 2000), focusing on tax issues.

He was in-house counsel at Banco Pactual S.A. (1996 to 1998), handling matters relating to tax, corporate and banking law, as well as contracts.

1993 to 1996, he worked in the tax department at Price Waterhouse.
