Our partner Maria Isabel do Prado Bocater participated in a report by Capital Aberto that addresses suggestions sent by market agents to the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) regarding changes suggested by the regulator in Resolution 44, referring to the information regime between companies and the capital market.

According to Isabel, the changes focus on adjusting the use of material facts and/or market announcements, and affect the acquisition of significant shareholdings.

According to the article, while the rule seems to make some moves a little more flexible for companies, the suggested changes have displeased investors.

Just over 40 capital market agents, including publicly traded companies, lawyers, associations, and the stock exchange, submitted suggestions to the agency.
