The Lawyers’ Meeting, organized by PREVI, was held last Friday, 27/06, and included the participation of the Bocater Advogados team among the sector specialists present.

The event brings together law firms from all over Brazil that work for PREVI. The main objective is to foster and broaden the dialog on issues relevant to the supplementary pension system, as well as to integrate participants.

Our partner Fernanda Rosa and our lawyer Pedro Diniz da Silva Oliveira spoke at the event. While Fernanda took part in the panel “Compensation for unlawful acts of the employer – Aspects relating to the lack of jurisdiction of the labor courts and their consequences for EFPCs in actions seeking compensation based on Themes 955 and 1021/STJ”, Pedro was present for the debates on the themes “Actions for annulment of real estate financing – inadequacy of the allegation of peremption and other strategies for defending the Entity” and “Theme 677 of the STJ – Motion for clarification in REsp 1. 820.963/SP: possibility of reviewing STJ Theme 677. Current scenarios for mitigating financial losses”. A total of 10 members of the firm’s team were present.

The meeting was opened by the President of the OAB-RJ Sectional Council, Ana Tereza Basílio, and Professor Luiz Rodrigues Wambier, a lecturer at the Brazilian Institute for Teaching, Development and Research (IDP).

The event is an important initiative for Brazil’s supplementary pension system, promoting a wide-ranging debate with an exchange of experiences among those present. See more in the image carousel.
