At the end of August, during the 3rd Brazilian Congress on Administrative Sanctioning Law (III CBDAS), organised by the Brazilian Institute of Administrative Sanctioning Law (IDASAN) in Brasília, Volume 9 of the Administrative Sanctioning Law Series, entitled General Theory of Administrative Sanctioning Law, was launched.

The volume features an article co-authored by our partner Thiago Araújo and our solicitor Daniella Felix Teixeira. In the article, entitled ‘The limits of the application of the criminal statute of limitations to administrative sanctioning law: the legal regime governing public sector employees and a critique of the case law of the Superior Court of Justice in cases of administrative misconduct’, the authors address the controversies surrounding the statute of limitations in administrative sanctioning law.
