Carlos Augusto works in the areas of corporate and contract law, with special emphasis on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), incorporations, spin-offs and corporate reorganizations, the formation of joint ventures and the negotiation of shareholders’ agreements. His practice also includes work in the tax area, with a focus on tax and succession planning projects.
Before joining Bocater Advogados, he was a lawyer in the legal department of a large steel company, focusing on tax issues, and a major financial institution, where he worked on tax, corporate, banking and contract issues. Also in the tax area, he was part of the international consultancy team for three years.
His previous experience also includes having been a member of a renowned Brazilian law firm, in the tax and corporate practices, having participated in relevant acquisition operations, corporate reorganizations, drafting opinions and tax planning.
