Maria Isabel Bocater is one of the founding partners of Bocater Advogados and has over 40 years of experience in Corporate Law, with extensive expertise in corporate governance, regulation, capital markets structure and operations, and administrative sanctioning proceedings. Her work is widely recognized by the market, peers, and prestigious national and international directories.
Maria Isabel was the second woman to serve as a Director at the Brazilian Securities Commission (CVM), having previously held positions as a career attorney, manager, and Legal Superintendent at the Commission. She also served as an alternate member of the Appeals Council of the National Financial System (CRSFN). A frequent speaker at seminars, she addresses issues related to the legislation applicable to publicly held companies and the securities market. She is the author of numerous articles published in specialized newspapers and magazines.
